William C. Reed, PhD

With many years of experience across multiple healthcare settings, William Reed, PhD, expands Avarion’s (Formerly known as Huntzinger Management Group) leadership with his deep knowledge in healthcare information technology and operations. As an Avarion partner, Reed focuses on advisory and client services, providing specific domain leadership and expertise related to data management, analytics, and patient portals.

During his healthcare career, Reed has served as the CIO of Geisinger Health System, Quantum Health Resources, Gentiva Health Services, and held Chief Information Officer roles at several client organizations. Highlights of Reed’s previous positions include being the President and CEO of AllOne Health Group, and the Executive Vice President and COO of BlueCross of Northeastern Pennsylvania. Additionally, Reed serves as an adjunct faculty member at several universities, teaching health information technology at both the graduate and undergraduate level.
